We have been fortunate to meet and get to know lots of great musicians in our travels and se we've decided to let you get to know them a little bit through our new video blog series! Our first installment was on 9/14/12 at Philly's World Cafe Live for the "Philly Song Shuffle" presented by the Philadelphia Extreme Folk Society. We chatted with our friends Ben O'Neill and Paige Allbritton.
Ben, a former member of the pop rock group The MLM's, has traveled the world as a the touring guitarist for such artists as Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Musiq Soulchild, and has appeared on Letterman and Leno. His most recent accomplishment was a slot on Jay Z's made in America Festival with his own solo project. He is about to release a full-length album "Ghosts and Green Shoots."
Paige is a Philly songstress, originally from Arkansas. Her voice is the perfect compliment to her emotional songwriting style, one that hooked us from the first time we heard her play at the Grape Room's open mic. She is also on the verge of releasing a new album. We just* heard her track "Hurricane" on the radio last night on WSTW's Hometown Heroes :)

John & Brittany are participating in a very interesting project this spring and summer; it's a senior project put together by Drexel University Music Industry student Sean Comber. Comber will be recording and making music videos with John & Brittany (along with a number of Philadelphia artists) to be marketed via a dedicated YouTube page. The band will be recording and making video clips of acoustic versions of songs of their debut EP, as well as selected cover versions, including their rendition of the Ray Charles classic "I Got A Woman," a long-time J&B fan favorite! This project will make a nice lead-in for J&B's 2nd official release coming up this fall. Stay tuned for special announcements about the new record! Check out the live acoustic vids of new songs "Dirty Little Magazine" and "El Gato" for a taste of where J&B is headed :)
